What you get to do every single day
- Use knowledge of expenditure codes and accounting codes to accurately code documents
- Use a variety of sources to prepare statements and reports
- Perform general accounting tasks, such as G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing, and other ad hoc projects
- Carry out other related duties and work on special projects as assigned
- Post financial information to journals and ledgers
- Assist accounts payable with vendor invoices and disbursement filing and with A/P invoice matching & filing
- Reconcile discrepancies by examining possible sources of disagreement, recreating likely actions, and identifying the effect on other accounts; prepare correction documents as needed
- Support Accounts Receivable: process daily invoices/credit, apply cash receipt, and help with collection of past due balance Requirements - Data entry, document management, file creation and previous records experience required
- 5+ years of accounting experience required
- Spreadsheet and ERP system experience preferred
- Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Expertise in commercial real estate
- AA or BS/BA in Accounting or related field preferred
- Ability to multitask and attention to detail are critical
