Job Description:

In March 2022, Crane announced that it will separate into two independent, publicly traded companies in early 2023. This role is part of Crane Company, a leading global provider of mission-critical, highly engineered products and solutions, with differentiated technology, respected brands, and leadership positions in the Aerospace & Electronics and Process Flow Technologies markets.

The Compensation Manager (remote or hybrid in our Stamford, CT office), is a hands-on position responsible for Crane Co.'s U.S. compensation programs. This role provides support to the VP, Total Rewards by performing data analysis, job evaluations, benchmarking and process improvement initiatives and manages the administration of our equity, global mobility, immigration and domestic relocation programs.

Responsibilities and Duties:

* Provide strategic leadership, market benchmarking, issue management & resolution, KPI reporting, administration, and day to day management of Crane's compensation programs including:

* Corporate compensation management and benchmarking

* Executive compensation programs and administration

* Review and collaborate with business unit HR partners on compensation recommendations

* Crane equity program for associate and director grants, reporting and communications

* Management of stock ownership guidelines, company Insider administration and approval of trading transactions

* System and vendor management and reporting

* Annual compensation planning process - drive process improvement, improved reporting

* Incentive plan reporting and accrual

* Provide data and support for quarterly and year-end financial reporting

* Support annual proxy filing by providing necessary data, creating tally sheets, determining CEO pay ratio, and updating CD&A, etc.

* Support Compensation Committee meetings through data gathering, analysis and presentation preparation

* Manage audit processes for compensation and equity programs

* Manage domestic relocation, global mobility and immigration programs

* Develop various compensation communications and training for HR, leaders and associates

* Inventory and understand global compensation programs, identify opportunities to improve efficiency or drive cost savings

* Identify and execute opportunities for process improvement

* Participate in compensation surveys, provide insights on compensation trends and budgets

Qualifications and Required Skills:

* Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources or Finance preferred. Certified Compensation Professional status will be of particular interest

* Knowledge of or experience with the following highly preferred:

* Equity plan development and/or administration

* Incentive plan design and administration

* Market based job evaluation/pricing

* Executive compensation

* 7+ years of experience in compensation management and administration

* Complete understanding and technical expertise of broad-based compensation programs

* Ability to identify the best solutions/programs based on alignment to business strategy

* Strong quantitative, analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and project management

* Ability to identify and independently solve complex problems

* Comfortable dealing with senior management, vendors, auditors, and consultants

* Previous compensation vendor management preferred

* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and have strong prioritization, planning and organization skills

* Excellent communication and presentation skills required

* Proficient with HRIS systems, Excel and Power Point

* Ability to travel, less than 10%
