  • Job Description: - Job Description PA Equity-Fixed Income Senior AssociateWho we are looking for:We are searching for a Portfolio Administration Senior Associate to provide operational support for portfolio management team and other various SSGA areas. - Reporting to the Department Manager the associate will assist in daily operations procedures in support of buy-side trading and client activities across global asset classes. - This role is expected to rotate across multiple Investment Operations functions and expose the individual to a wide range of Investment Management activitiesWhy this role is important to usThe team you will be joining is a part of State Street IMS Business. From core custody, accounting, fund administration and shareholder recordkeeping, to complete operations solutions and servicing for alternative assets like OTC derivatives, private equity and real estate, SS IMS's services help our clients make better investment choices and act on growth opportunities.Join us if making your mark in the financial services industry from day one is a challenge you are up for.What you will be responsible for:As a Portfolio Administration Senior Associate, you will be responsible for all daily aspects supporting our Client SSGA's Equity and Fixed Income business.Main responsibilities to include, but not limited to;
    • Acquire Operations skillset across clients, asset classes and markets
    • Support Operations lifecycle events not limited to trade support, maintenance, reconciliations, on-boarding, client reporting and corporate actions timely and accurately
    • Act as first point of escalation for internal groups including other operational groups, Portfolio Management, Relationship Management, Performance Measurement Group, Compliance and Custodian for portfolios within the SSGA Fixed Income strategy group.
    • Responsible for the reconciliation and outstanding exceptions associated to the employee's allocated workload. - Assist manager with the oversight of exception resolution for the team.
    • Coordinate timely responses to internal and external inquiries across multiple operational groups; analyze root cause of inquiries for process improvement suggestions.
    • Monitor daily operational activities and implement controls and procedures for all portfolios within an investment strategy group
    • Act as a team player energize and motivate colleagues so that they meet or exceed their goals and objectives.
    • Provide daily process coverage in the absence of team members
    • Assist in team projects including integration and business transformation priorities
    • Maintain procedures within Operations with changes in business processes
    • Leverage technology to simplify processes through automation and controls
    • Collaborate cross-departmental to facilitate execution on tasksWhat we value :These skills will help you succeed in this role

        • BA/BS in business or finance related fields
        • 3 or more years of Investment Management and/or Fund Accounting experience
        • Strong written and verbal communication skills
        • Proficient with Microsoft Office and accounting platforms
        • Experience with Bloomberg preferred
        • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks
        • Ability to work independently while also thriving in a team environment
        • Strong understanding of fixed income, money markets, short duration financial instruments and Equity securitiesAbout State StreetWhat we do.
