physicians.Role Overview:In this newly created role, the Payroll
Specialist is accountable for supporting the payroll function of
our growing organization. Reporting to the Payroll and HRIS
Manager, this role will be an integral member of the team ensuring
the smooth processing of our biweekly payroll. In addition,
customer service is a key part of this role, assisting managers and
employees with all payroll related inquiries. This role will
coordinate processes across payroll, accounting and human resources
ensuring accurate and timely flow of information across all groups.

organization.Responsibilities: --- Ensure timely and accurate full
cycle processing of all multi state bi-weekly payrolls in
compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, for 700+
employees --- Process supplemental pays such as bonus and
commission --- Review timecard entries for accuracy and missing
approvals, resolve exceptions with employees, Supervisors and/or
managers --- Research and resolve employee payroll questions, PTO,
missing punches, expense approval, explanation of pay, employee
access, etc. and provide excellent customer service by responding
in a courteous and timely manner --- Maintain notification process
and coordinate efforts between payroll, human resources, and
accounting to ensure accurate and timely flow of data and respond
to inquiries --- Sets up garnishments and levies, processes
off-cycle manual checks and termination pays --- Research
federal/state tax notices until resolved --- Prepare reports to
relevant departments about payroll, company budget and expense(s)
--- Maintains payroll documentation and files. --- Generate various
payroll reports; ad-hoc reports based on executive management
requests. --- Participate in audits such as workers comp, 401k and
external auditors as it related to Payroll activities and reporting
for interim and annual financial audit requirements --- Compile
monthly Payroll journal entry and accrual --- Employer contribution
of HSA and 401k along with annual reconciliation of both ---
Documents and updates written payroll procedures; internal audit
--- Train employees and managers on use of the Paycom as it relates
to Payroll and time keepingQualifications: --- Proven experience in
a payroll position in a fast-paced environment required --- Strong
knowledge of tax and wage laws --- Excellent verbal and written
communication skills --- Strong computer literacy including
Microsoft Office applications (Excel VLOOKUP, pivot tables, etc.)
--- Exceptional multitasking and organizational skills; attention
to detail --- Able to work effectively with minimal supervision ---
5+ years of experience in payroll processing --- Thorough
understanding of benefits, deductions, pre/post tax items ---
Paycom, M&A, integration, and platform implementation a
plus
