PurposeThe Manager of Accounting must possess strong communication,
organizational, technology and leadership skills. The candidate has
8+ years of experience, including previous management
responsibility. They also should have comprehensive knowledge of
generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). Those with public
accounting experience have an advantage. Expected a minimum of a
bachelor's degree in accounting but generally prefer applicants who
also have earned a master's degree in business administration (MBA)
or certification such as certified public accountant (CPA) or
certified management accountant (CMA).Duties and
ResponsibilitiesDeveloping and maintaining accounting policies and
proceduresPlanning, organizing, and coordinating the year-end close
process with internal and external auditorsCoordinate and assist
with successful completion of the company's tax filingsPreparing
financial statements, including cash flow statementsPlanning,
budgeting activitiesMaintains financial calendar to inform parties
of necessary deadline adherence for various processes and
reporting.Performs statistical analyses to determine trends,
estimates, and significant changes, and writes narrative reports
explaining findings.Analyzes financial information and direct in
preparing profit and loss statement, and other monthly reports to
summarize and interpret current and projected company
financials.Responds to inquiries from and prepares periodic reports
to senior management and third parties.Creates and maintains
financial calendar to inform parties of necessary deadline
adherence for various processes and reports.Performs continuous
assessment of the close process and process re-engineering to
reduce the timing to close the financial period.Monitors compliance
with generally accepted accounting principles and company
procedures including adoption of new GAAP pronouncements.Implements
and maintains reporting procedures to comply with internal control
requirements.Participates in other projects as required including
M&A integration and ERP implementation.*Perform other duties as
assigned.QualificationsCPA and master's degree or comparable
education with concentration in Accounting and Finance.Minimum of 8
+ years' experience in accounting/ tax including accounts payable,
accounts receivable and general accountingExcellent understanding
of accounting processes and functions.ERP implementations/ use
experience (NetSuite preferable)Advanced proficiency in MS
Excel.Strong organizational skills. Ability to prioritize work and
meet multiple deadlines timely and accurately in a fast pace
working environment.Candidate should have the desire and ability to
work as a team player, complete work with accuracy and speed and
strive for professional growth within the department and
company.Effective verbal and written communication
skills.Experience working with sophisticated accounting
